Lead Developer

TL;DR

Lead Developer: Leading software development teams in delivering best-in-class solutions for clients with an accent on technical vision, best practices, and continuous delivery. Focus on designing pragmatic solutions, advocating for DevSecOps, and cultivating team growth and development.

Location: Onsite in Singapore, potentially at hirify.global office or client's office for all five working days of the week.

What you will do

• Champion and adopt best practices like TDD, pair programming, and design patterns.
• Oversee or take part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery from ideation to evolution in production.
• Design solutions and choose technologies that solve clients’ problems while making pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with teammates to build features, design concepts, and interactive prototypes.
• Apply the latest technology thinking and continue to code alongside Developers.
• Utilize and champion DevSecOps tools and practices, advocating for security in development.
• Cultivate Thoughtworker growth and development by encouraging feedback and fostering an inclusive team culture.

Requirements

• Well-versed in two or more languages (Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, C#) and comfortable with Object-Oriented technology.
• Experience leading software development teams using Agile, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches.
• Knowledge of TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience influencing others and advocating for technical excellence.
• Ability to bridge product and technology by helping to translate business needs to software requirements.
• Ability to develop and execute a technical vision with a focus on business value.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes.
