Lead Application Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing, developing, and implementing security solutions for IT needs across new and existing applications and systems with an accent on cloud-based and on-premise software security, penetration testing, and risk assessments. Focus on remediating exploitable conditions, evaluating software fixes, and reviewing security designs for complex environments.

Location: Hybrid work environment in St. John's, Toronto, or Montreal, Canada (at least 2 days a week in office).

Salary: $111,000–$155,000 USD (base pay range, annual)

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, adapt, and implement IT security solutions for new and existing applications and systems.
• Serve as the primary Information Security contact for a Google Cloud-based technology project.
• Perform penetration testing, Red Teaming, and risk assessments for cloud-based and on-premise systems.
• Test and validate solutions to remediate exploitable application conditions.
• Review security designs for complex environments and support regulatory compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in application security engineering.
• Completed one or more of the following certifications: MCSE, GIAC (GSEC, GCFW, GCIA, GCIH, GISO, GSNA, GCFA, GSLC, GPEN), CISA, CISSP, CCSP.
• Experience with application security tools including DAST, SAST, and Web Application Penetration Testing.
• Ability to work in a hybrid format from St. John's, Toronto, or Montreal, Canada.
