Principal Software Engineer (AI): Lead the design and development of distributed data infrastructure, APIs, and personalization pipelines to drive Copilot's intelligence within hirify.global AI. Focus on architecting scalable systems for personalized signals, ensuring data privacy, security, and optimal performance across diverse workloads and geographies.

Location: Expected to work from the hirify.global office in the U.S. at least four days per week if living within a 50-mile commute.

Salary: USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year in the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Architect scalable, low-latency systems for ingesting, processing, and serving personalized signals.
• Design and maintain robust pipelines for telemetry, product usage, and experimentation data.
• Own orchestration, monitoring, and DevOps for critical data workflows.
• Design data models and APIs that enable Copilot to reason about user context, preferences, and history.
• Collaborate with privacy, security, and responsible AI teams to ensure personalization is safe, transparent, and user-controlled.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 6+ years’ experience building scalable services on top of cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 4+ years experience of OSS data technology, such as Kafka, Spark, Flink.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with large scale data systems.
• Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.
