What you will do

• Monitor complex systems and respond to known and emerging threats via intrusion detection software.
• Assist in detailed, comprehensive investigations of security issues by reviewing security log data.
• Perform incident handling processes, including containment, protection, and remediation activities.
• Analyze new and emerging threats affecting the organization's information assets.
• Design and configure security systems, including proxy, remote access, WAF, and SIEM.
• Assess and disseminate threats related to enterprise vulnerabilities and manage an emerging threat model.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Info Security, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• Gains and maintains knowledge of how to monitor complex systems and respond to threats.
• Assists in detailed, comprehensive investigation of security issues.
• Gains knowledge in implementation of containment, protection and remediation activities during incident handling.
• Gains and maintains knowledge of new and emerging threats.
• Works under close supervision to perform day-to-day Information Security functions.

Nice to have

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including network operations, engineering, or system administration on Unix, Linux, MAC, or Windows.
• Experience with common security operations, intrusion detection systems, Security Incident Event Management systems, and anti-virus collection logs.
• Knowledge of industry standard security compliance programs such as PCI, SOX, and GLBA.
