hirify.global is a volunteer-based, all-online global game development team creating The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order (LoA:SO), an indie open-world RPG using Unreal Engine 4.
What you will do
- Animate, rig, and skin a range of organic and hard-body models.
- Aid in the preparation of high-quality game assets for "The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order".
- Work closely with other members of the Visuals department.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
- Potentially aid more junior members of the team in relevant areas if comfortable with teaching.
- Attend weekly team meetings.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Human anatomy and movement, coupled with expertise in animating 3D Characters and applying traditional animation principles for believable movement.
- Experience with non-gaming Non-linear Animation (NLA) systems or prior game animation experience.
- Ability to rapidly prototype animations and troubleshoot animation software challenges.
- Strong online communication and team-collaboration skills.
- A passion for 3D animation and an interest in learning game development.
- English fluency is a must.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine is required.
- Ability to attend weekly meetings and dedicate long-term to the project.
Nice to have
- Prior Unreal Engine experience.
- Motionbuilder experience.
