TL;DR
3D Animator (Game Art): Animating characters, creatures, props, and vehicles for AAA titles with an accent on mocap cleanup, facial animations, and cinematics. Focus on developing pipeline tools in Unreal Engine, Maya, and MotionBuilder, and improving the 3D animation team structure.
Location: While this is a fully remote contract position, we are only considering applicants that reside in Ottawa, Canada.
Salary: 70k CAD to 83k CAD per year

What you will do
- Build, establish, and improve the existing structure for a high-end 3D animation team.
- Animate a variety of characters, creatures, props, and vehicles.
- Develop and maintain pipeline tools in Unreal Engine, Maya, 3DS Max, and MotionBuilder.
- Work closely with the Animation Director and Project Manager.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio/demo reel with recent work showcasing proficiency in 3D Animation for video games (must submit to be considered).
- 5+ years of professional experience working as a 3D Animator in the video game industry.
- Proficient with Maya and Unreal Engine 5 Cinematics (Sequencer).
- Experience working with motion capture cleanup.
- Experience working with more realistic art styles focused on bipedal human animations for games.
- Must reside in Ottawa, Canada.
Nice to have
- MotionBuilder experience.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 Integration, hand-keyed animations, or proprietary tools.
- Experience in tangential areas of animation, such as rigging, skinning, or scripting.
