Salary: £55,000–£70,000 per annum

What you will do

• Own and evolve the backend architecture for a large-scale software platform.
• Work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and scalability.
• Set technical direction and contribute to key design decisions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, improving automation, observability, and release processes.
• Mentor and coach engineers, helping to raise the overall bar for backend development.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in backend or platform engineering roles, with recent senior-level experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
• Strong experience designing and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Proven experience with AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Terraform).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience leading or influencing technical direction across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
