Salary: $101,500 to $154,000

What you will do

• Design, roll out, and support highly performant, scalable, and available search platforms with your team.
• Collaborate with Science/ML team, Data Engineers, and Data Analytics teams on the Search roadmap.
• Innovate to build performant solutions that scale to increasing business demands, translating them into architecture diagrams.
• Lead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions.
• Ensure team-wide code quality through code reviews and PR feedback.
• Help research and recommend new technologies to solve strategic issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years professional experience.
• Expertise in Scala and functional programming paradigms.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors (e.g., Lexical Search, Semantic Search).
• Experience with search engines such as ElasticSearch, Open Search, or Solr.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs in an enterprise setting.
• Deep distributed systems knowledge, having supported multiple high-throughput production systems.
• Experience with AWS in a production setting, leveraging offerings for compute, databases, storage, containers, and serverless technologies.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
