Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI): Building the intelligence layer for a predictive Data Science agent, powered by Foundation Models, with an accent on designing end-to-end expert predictive pipelines and decision logic. Location: Although preference is for in-person collaboration, we are flexible with occasional remote work arrangements (Must be based in France, indicated by "French-level paid leave").

Salary: €80,000–€100,000/year

What you will do

• Contribute to the design of the Data Science Agent, focusing on iterative processes and agent capabilities.
• Integrate expert knowledge into the Agent to enable fast comparison of modeling strategies.
• Ensure robust evaluation across datasets and use cases for predictive models.
• Design and structure end-to-end expert predictive pipelines optimized for specific use cases.
• Implement the decision logic that powers the agent’s ability to guide, assist, and automate parts of the data science workflow.
• Collaborate closely with research and engineering teams to translate advanced ML capabilities into smooth, efficient, and reliable user experiences.

Requirements

• M.S. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or applied ML roles.
• Strong hands-on experience building end-to-end ML pipelines used by real users.
• Proven expertise in tabular machine learning, including problem scoping, feature engineering, modeling, and evaluation strategies.
• Excellent Python skills and experience writing clean, modular, production-grade ML code.
• Fluent in English and able to collaborate across teams in fast-moving startup environments.
