What you will do

• Build and lead a data protection team, including hiring, mentoring, and development.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise data classification framework and labeling strategy.
• Establish data governance policies and procedures and oversee the data stewardship program.
• Design and implement data protection controls across all data stores.
• Guide the implementation of DLP solutions, eDiscovery programs, and data inventory initiatives.
• Develop risk assessment methodologies for data protection and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of privacy or information security experience.
• 2+ years of specialized experience in data protection.
• Team management experience.
• Deep understanding of data protection technologies and tools, including data classification, eDiscovery platforms, and cloud security controls.
• Experience developing and managing program budgets and translating technical requirements into business value.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications (CIPM, CIPP, CISSP).
• Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA) and developing data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management and privacy by design principles.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change.
