What you will do

• Design and implement robust data solutions for the Department of Defense.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring interoperability with DoD systems and global standards alignment.
• Develop and review system documentation, technical assessments, and architecture descriptions.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies for adoption and integration into DoD environments, including AI where appropriate.
• Serve as a technical advisor on systems engineering approaches, tool selection, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Contribute to system designs, scalable network architectures, cloud storage, and secure integration pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong experience in network capacity planning, network security, and network/system management best practices.
• Experience designing network architectures and data-exchange methods (APIs, cloud storage, secure environments).
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Systems-of-Systems, Systems Engineering processes, Zero Trust Architecture, Access management, DoD classification and security, and Microservice architecture.
