TL;DR

Backend Developer (C#/.NET): Developing scalable, high-performance, and secure server logic for an eCommerce/payment platform with an accent on payment processing and fraud prevention. Location: Fully remote with offices in Cologne (Germany) and Chicago (USA).

What you will do

  • Develop and enhance C#/.NET modules for the eCommerce/payment platform.
  • Integrate APIs, external services, and databases (mainly Oracle and PostgreSQL).
  • Contribute to design decisions for scalable backend systems.
  • Ensure code quality through reviews, automated testing, and clean code principles.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, and frontend colleagues within the team.
  • Support frontend tasks when needed (e.g., simple UI adjustments, optimizing interfaces).

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in C#/.NET (.NET 8+) development, ideally in a payment or eCommerce environment.
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar) and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, etc.).
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken (B2).
  • Interest in new technologies, clean code, and agile software development.

Nice to have

  • Solid SQL skills for data analysis.
  • Basic familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.
