Backend Developer (.NET)

TL;DR

Backend Developer (.NET): Building and optimizing cloud-based core banking and card systems with an accent on scalable, reliable backend services and new functionality. Focus on applying DDD, CQRS, and modular architecture approaches in a FinTech environment.

Location: Remote (EU). Must be based in one of the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands.

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using C# and .NET (.NET Core/.NET 8).
• Implement new features based on business flows and evolving requirements, applying DDD principles.
• Participate in systems following CQRS and modular architecture approaches.
• Write unit tests, analyze, debug, and optimize existing functionality.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Collaborate closely with QA engineers and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET for 5+ years.
• Experience in banking, payments, or financial services.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning.
• Practical experience with unit testing and automated test coverage.
• Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions.
• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash).
