Focus on collaborating with directors and creative leadership to ensure storyboards align with the creative goals and vision of various shows.

Location: Hybrid, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. Potential home studio is Irvine, CA. Other possible options, including remote work arrangements, can be explored. Must be based in the US.

Salary: $34.28 - $63.42 Hourly

What you will do

• Create storyboard sequences from thumbnail to clean finish, implementing storytelling objectives.
• Ensure storyboards align with the creative goals of the leadership team.
• Collaborate with the Director to discuss storytelling direction and design requirements.
• Regularly meet with Supervisor, Director, Producer, Editor, and fellow Storyboard Artists to review, discuss, execute, and revise storyboards.
• Pitch storyboards to Supervisor, Director, crew, executives, and stakeholders, implementing feedback.
• Attend and contribute to script meetings and pitches to offer feedback from a storyboarding perspective.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a storyboard artist and/or director.
• Relevant drawing experience with strong figurative and perspective draftsmanship.
• Ability to draw characters on model and in a 3-Dimensional setting.
• Adept staging, cinematography, and composition skills through drawing and software use.
• Advanced knowledge of hardware and software including Cintiq, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, and Photoshop; Blender 3D a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
