Senior UI Artist (GameDev): Defining and overseeing visual futures for global sports titles with an accent on architectural strategy, creative direction for broadcast look, and pipeline optimization. Location: Melbourne’s Southbank and Adelaide CBD, Australia. This is an in-person, on-location, in-studio position. Applications will only be considered from those with existing Australian working rights. We cannot sponsor a working visa.

What you will do
- Define and establish the visual language for game titles, partnering with Art Director, UX, and UI Developers.
- Mentor the UI team and ensure high-concept designs are technically viable and executed to the highest standard.
- Design and oversee scalable UI systems and frameworks across multiple platforms and deep-sim sports titles.
- Define the “Broadcast Look” by creating high-fidelity overlays, HUDs, and motion graphics that rival professional TV sports presentations.
- Collaborate with UI Developers to refine the implementation pipeline, ensuring tools and assets are efficient.
- Set the quality bar for the UI team, provide feedback, and share knowledge to elevate craft.
Requirements
- 5+ Years in Games with at least one (ideally multiple) shipped AAA or high-fidelity titles in a UI-heavy role.
- Mastery of Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Expert-level understanding of typography, colour theory, and information hierarchy, particularly regarding complex data visualisation.
- Proven ability to take a project from initial UX wireframes through to final polished implementation.
- Existing Australian working rights are required.
Nice to have
- Deep familiarity with XAML, C#, or implementation within Unreal Engine/Unity.
- Advanced experience with After Effects or 3D software (Blender/Maya) to create dynamic interfaces.
