What you will do

• Create fur/feather/hair/environment grooms for characters, creatures, and environments.
• Collaborate with Creature TD’s to determine requirements and solutions for dynamics and layouts.
• Paint color and specular maps for hair, fur, and feathers.
• Work closely with additional departments in the Creature workflow including Modeling, Animation and Lighting.
• Maintain a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.

Requirements

• Proven experience within a high-end VFX facility.
• Demo reel and portfolio illustrating knowledge and experience in painting, illustration or design.
• Familiarity with film production and computer graphics.
• Attention to detail.
• Proven Groom skills within a high-end VFX production environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and assimilate new information with good interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Good organizational skills.
• Grooming portfolio with creatures, digidoubles, and feathers.
• Ability to liaise with various parts of the Computer Graphics pipeline.
• Proficient in Maya, Houdini, Mari, Zbrush, and Photoshop.
• Ability to navigate complex Computer Graphics pipelines.
