Salary: $95,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Assign and edit stories from WIRED business reporters and freelance writers.
• Define goals and priorities for coverage areas, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
• Proactively seek out diverse voices for differentiated business coverage.
• Coordinate with other WIRED teams (photo/art, fact-checking, copy, production, social, video) for maximum story impact.
• Meet individual and/or section KPIs for production, engagement, and time spent.
• Contribute to brand extensions, social platforms, and represent the brand publicly.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as an editor in a fast-paced, digital and news-driven environment.
• Significant experience covering the tech industry, with a consistent record of breaking news.
• Experience overseeing multi-platform content from brainstorm to execution.
• Passion for delivering ambitious coverage around Big Tech and AI.
• Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
