What you will do

• Run character-related FX and simulations including cloth, hair, rigid body, crowd, and muscles using nCloth in Maya and Vellum in Houdini.
• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors and Leads to determine technical approaches and develop final shot looks.
• Manage simulation production, including troubleshooting and providing revisions based on feedback.
• Perform shot sculpting and cleaning of existing character simulations.
• Add secondary motion to 3D animation and additional simulations for assets like hair clumps, muscles, and feathers.
• Support pipeline animation principles and maintain high productivity to meet delivery deadlines.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Maya and Houdini.
• Experience scripting with Python, MEL, VEX, and/or C++.
• Ability to develop techniques and processes to solve simulation production challenges.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work from Sydney, Australia (Hybrid).
