What you will do
- Independently plan and execute functional, compatibility, performance, and regression testing across PC and console platforms.
- Evaluate game builds, assess overall quality and risk, and provide structured feedback to development partners.
- Document, track, and validate defects using industry-standard tools like Jira.
- Act as a QA point of contact between publishing, development partners, and external QA vendors.
- Support first-party certification processes for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms.
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists to improve coverage and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of professional QA experience within the games industry.
- Strong command of QA methodologies, defect lifecycles, and industry best practices.
- Experience with at least one professional bug-tracking system and producing clear defect documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify systemic quality risks.
- Effective communication with cross-functional and external stakeholders in a distributed, international environment.
- Genuine passion for games and player experience.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with console certification standards (TRC, XR, NAC, NOPS).
- Experience working with external development studios, QA vendors, or publishing organizations.
