What you will do
- Define and deliver the credit vision and strategy, covering first-party lending, embedded credit, and third-party partnerships.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for credit solutions, from onboarding and risk assessment to servicing and collections.
- Develop scalable underwriting and decisioning systems utilizing bureau data, open banking, and behavioral analytics.
- Drive data-led strategies to optimize approval rates, pricing models, and risk tiers while managing portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with C-suite to balance growth, loss rates, capital efficiency, and return on equity.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with UK/EU frameworks for KYC/KYB, affordability, and responsible lending.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in credit product or lending strategy roles within fintech, commercial lending, or neobanks.
- Proven track record launching or scaling SME lending products with strong portfolio performance.
- Deep knowledge of credit decisioning, scoring models, affordability, pricing, risk segmentation, fraud prevention, and capital allocation.
- Strong understanding of UK/EU regulatory frameworks (AML/KYC/KYB, open banking, responsible lending).
- Skilled at building cross-functional teams and influencing across various departments.
- Exceptional ability to present insights and strategies to senior leadership and external partners.
