Location: While many roles at hirify.global are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites. This role is primarily for US-based candidates, with US-specific benefits (e.g., 401(k), HSA) and legal compliance requirements (e.g., E-Verify program).

Salary: $297,670–$350,200 USD

What you will do

• Establish and scale hirify.global Custody into the world’s most trusted and secure institutional digital asset storage and services platform.
• Define and execute a cohesive roadmap including storage, staking, governance, and institutional DeFi integration.
• Lead the transition from high-security storage to a seamless, high-availability financial engine for institutional clients.
• Ensure platform compliance with rigorous global regulatory requirements (SOC, NYDFS, etc.).
• Set direction for cold/warm storage architectures, aligning with Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• Grow the Custody Engineering team, focusing on hiring security-minded backend engineers and building middle-management.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading product engineering teams, ideally with institutional/enterprise experience.
• Deep understanding of secure system design and building highly available, transactional distributed systems.
• Experience managing 24/7 mission-critical systems where automation is essential.
• Track record of scaling teams and mentoring Senior/Staff Engineers.
• Ability to translate complex blockchain and security concepts into business risks and opportunities for executive teams and regulators.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms (PoS vs. PoW).
• Experience working within NYDFS, BitLicense, or SEC/FINRA regulated frameworks.
