What you will do
- Provide 2nd level technical support for Belden Industrial solutions and networking products.
- Respond to escalated customer support issues and analyze customer problems for root cause.
- Advise and propose network design and configuration to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Create knowledge base articles, how-to guides, and other proactive documentation.
- Work with internal team members, providing technical direction and design assistance.
- Travel required (~30%).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong networking background, with experience in Ethernet, routing (OSPF), C37.94, and legacy protocols (T1/E1, RS232/422/455).
- Deep understanding of MPLS-TP architecture, including label switching principles and protection switching mechanisms.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills for troubleshooting telecommunication networks.
- Ability to use Wireshark for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Must be based in the US, ideally within a few hours driving distance from the Charlotte, NC metro area.
Nice to have
- Programming/Scripting (Python) skills.
- CCNA/CCNP qualification.
