Database Administrator (MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server)

Database Administrator (MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server): Managing and optimizing production databases with an accent on performance, reliability, and security across MongoDB, Postgres, and SQL Server. Focus on minimizing downtime, ensuring high availability/disaster recovery, and planning for long-term scalability and architecture.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in Cyprus (HQ). Relocation to Cyprus is required for candidates not currently based in Cyprus. Candidates must be able to work in Cyprus, and immigration/work permit sponsorship may be available.

What you will do

• Act as the focal point for all MongoDB-related issues, including reviewing configuration changes.
• Maintain and support MongoDB, SQL Server, and Postgres databases in both Atlas & on-prem, and AWS.
• Monitor system health and performance, minimizing database downtime and managing HA/DR.
• Plan for long-term scalability and architecture, implementing changes, patches, and versions.
• Be part of the DBA on-call cycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as MongoDB DBA (Infrastructure & applicative).
• 2+ years of experience as relational Database DBA (Infrastructure & applicative).
• 1+ years of experience in AWS.
• Advanced T-SQL database development experience.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Git and code management processes.
• Experience with tools like dbatools, RedGate SQL Toolbelt, Coralogix.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
