What you will do

• Scale data pipelines for the new ledger architecture, tracking financial events and transforming them into accurate entities in the Money Journal.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to collect, process, and reconcile financial data from various sources across multiple currencies and marketplaces.
• Develop and enhance the automated reconciliation system to match financial flows, identify discrepancies, and serve as the single source of truth for accounting.
• Build and maintain data flows between internal systems and external financial tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Anaplan) using Fivetran and custom ETL.
• Implement robust data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure zero discrepancies in financial reporting for compliance and audits.
• Design and maintain Airflow DAGs for complex financial data workflows, optimizing BigQuery data models using dbt for analysis, reporting, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python and SQL.
• Deep knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience with BigQuery, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Comfortable working with financial concepts like ledgers, reconciliation, revenue recognition, invoicing, and multi-currency transactions.
• Understanding of the critical importance of data accuracy, monitoring, and comprehensive testing in financial systems.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and data quality issues to both technical and finance stakeholders.

• Experience with dbt for financial data modeling and transformations.
• Fivetran for financial system integrations.
• Event-driven architectures for real-time financial events.
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Crossplane).
