TL;DR

Customer Support Officer (Fintech): Being the first point of contact for small business owners, providing support across phone, email, and live chat with an accent on fast problem-solving and building customer relationships. Focus on understanding complex issues, finding fair solutions, and proactively identifying areas for service improvement.

Location: Hybrid in Cardiff City Centre Office, UK (3 days in office, 2 days from home after probation).

Salary: £26,500 + monthly bonuses (full-time).

What you will do

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Solve customer issues quickly and own them from start to finish.
  • Understand customer problems and find fair, sensible solutions.
  • Stay updated on products and policies to offer accurate advice.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for FAQs and processes.
  • Recognize customers needing extra support and ensure they receive it.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience (financial services preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment for complex or sensitive queries.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of inquiries without compromising quality.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help people.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
