Senior Data Analyst (Game Development)

TL;DR

Senior Data Analyst (Game Development): Leveraging data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders in Racing & Shooter game teams with an accent on understanding player behavior, engagement, retention, and monetization. Focus on designing telemetry, segmenting player bases, interpreting A/B test results, and optimizing game economies.

Location: Hybrid role: 3 days per week in our London office and the remaining days at home.

What you will do

• Build dashboards to visualise in-game player behaviour and metrics.
• Analyse data to understand what drives engagement, retention, & monetisation.
• Design telemetry to capture actions across different meta features and game modes.
• Segment the playerbase to better understand different player motivations.
• Interpret results from A/B tests and support the LiveOps team.
• Monitor the live game economy and help optimise currency inflows & outflows.

Requirements

• Experience analysing data across an app’s features, finding insights about what motivates players/customer to keep coming back, or friction that leads to churn.
• Knowledge of probability and statistics, to draw conclusions from models & tests.
• Proficiency in data storytelling and visualisation skills, including SQL, Tableau, and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with different segmentation methods.
• Exposure to optimising a complex system such as an economy or onboarding flow.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Jupyter, AmazonQ, Airflow and/or GitHub.
• Involvement in projects using machine learning, simulation, & AI.
