What you will do
- Support and lead the Claim operation in understanding performance, reducing leakage, and defining strategy using data and analytics.
- Quantify and integrate Claim operation process changes into the reserving cycle, acting as the claims operation's representative for triangulation development.
- Liaise with the business to understand insight requests and effectively prioritize workload for delivery.
- Work business-facing with the Claim operation to ensure data-driven decisions meet best practices, adopting a Business Partner mindset.
- Own and calculate cost-saving initiatives (CSI’s), considering the wider picture and marginal customers in proposals, communicating findings in both Claims and Reserving language.
Requirements
- Apply lateral thinking to deliver thorough, insightful responses, exploring underlying causes and implications of adverse movements.
- Exhibit a curious mindset for investigating performance using data, gaining answers independently and quickly for key business questions.
- Possess a fluid and adaptable approach, delivering multiple pieces to tight deadlines with high quality.
- Be confident with numbers, with experience using advanced mathematics to answer critical questions.
- Able to manipulate and analyse large data sets to produce concise information.
- Comfortable coding with SQL to extract, cleanse, and manipulate data.
- Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar software.
- Proactive in building and maintaining relationships across the business and managing expectations.
