TL;DR

Location: Fully remote within Canada, with a preference for relocation to British Columbia.

hirify.global is an indie mobile studio based in Canada, founded by developers from Riot Games, Electronic Arts, and DreamWorks Animation, focused on crafting charming 2D cozy idle games.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and tech art lead on UX and 2D art in Unity (C#).
  • Implement polished and player-friendly UX for new features and live events.
  • Write clean, maintainable UX code following Model–View–Controller principles.
  • Add personality through UI animations and VFX.
  • Manage assets through a data-driven art pipeline.
  • Build or improve tools and scripts for creative workflows.
  • Optimize art and code performance across devices.
  • Troubleshoot technical art issues with artists.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the game industry.
  • Highly proficient in Unity C#.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and optimization.
  • Proficient with uGUI, Mecanim Animation, or Particle System.
  • Experience managing content pipelines for games.
  • Awareness of art and performance interaction in real-time environments.
  • Must have Canadian work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Python scripting or tooling experience.
  • Ability to design or create UI art.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve game feel.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or traditional video production (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Shipped and supported mobile game(s).
  • Basic audio editing knowledge.
