Product Owner (Design System): Shaping the vision and roadmap for the design system within Nexa, focusing on accelerating developer experience, increasing predictability, and strengthening UX consistency. Focus on defining and prioritizing the backlog of components, patterns, documentation, and tooling to maximize value, aligned with the needs of engineers, designers, and product teams.

Location: Must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.

Salary: EUR 5,876 - €8,395 monthly

What you will do

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the design system.
• Own and prioritize the backlog of components, patterns, documentation, and tooling.
• Work closely with UX, frontend, platform, and brand teams to ensure alignment.
• Establish governance that protects consistency, accessibility, and overall quality at scale.
• Drive adoption by promoting best practices, supporting teams, and solving real product needs.
• Use feedback, usage data, and team input to continuously improve components and workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in enterprise scale environments.
• Strong product vision with a clear focus on value, outcomes, and user impact.
• Proven ability to set priorities and balance long term strategy with short term delivery.
• Experience owning or scaling design systems, component libraries, or UI frameworks.
• Ability to translate between design, UX, and engineering needs.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and front end technologies.
