Location: Remote - Nationwide (US). Salary: $151,800.00 - $220,050.00

What you will do

• Lead and scale the Data Streaming Engineering organization, defining technical vision and roadmap for real-time and CDC pipelines using Kafka and Striim.
• Partner with Enterprise and Data Architects to influence event-driven and hybrid platform designs and establish approved patterns for CDC ingestion and event modeling.
• Hire, develop, and manage high-performing data streaming and data engineering teams, setting clear expectations for delivery, quality, and reliability.
• Ensure data streaming SLAs/SLOs are defined and met, overseeing integration of testing, monitoring, and alerting into CI/CD.
• Drive continuous improvement in resiliency, scalability, and cost efficiency of streaming platforms.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, Product, Security, Governance, and Risk teams to align capabilities and ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Authorization: Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No sponsorship available for employment visas).
• 12+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering, with 8+ years in engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience building and operating data streaming platforms at scale.
• Strong experience with Kafka and/or Striim, including CDC and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Argo and AWS cloud services.
• English: B2 required.

• Prior ownership of a Data Streaming or Event Platform.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
