TL;DR

Sr. Engineer, Language & Runtime (Cybersecurity): Developing new features and improving existing functionality for a large-scale distributed NG-SIEM system with an accent on LogScale backend in Scala, ingesting and querying massive event data. Focus on operational excellence, troubleshooting critical customer issues, and driving platform-level initiatives to ensure system reliability and scalability.

What you will do

• Develop the LogScale backend in Scala and extend the product to scale with increasing ingest and query load while ensuring high availability.
• Lead by example on customer and product focus, monitoring features, and troubleshooting critical customer issues.
• Drive cross-team platform-level initiatives, including scoping, designing, and developing new features for open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with peers across teams on defining new solutions, design documents, and improving internal documentation.
• Work in a team supporting each other through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in software development, with the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs between delivery needs and long-term product goals.
• Experience in language or compiler design.
• Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services.
• Fluency in both functional and object-oriented programming, with the ability to pick up new languages.
• Demonstrated track record of operational excellence when operating services across several geographical regions.
• Ability to communicate and articulate technical concepts crisply to individual contributors and management.
• English: B2 required for excellent verbal and written communication with global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience programming in Scala.
• Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Kafka.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability.
• Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products.
