Software Engineer

TL;DR

Software Engineer: Building and optimizing scalable, reusable code for a global payment infrastructure product with an accent on API design, database performance, and microservices architecture. Focus on developing new features, ensuring successful deployments, and maintaining high-quality, well-tested code.

Location: Hybrid with a requirement of 1-2 days a week at our London Office (Shoreditch). Ability to work from anywhere for up to 45 calendar days a year.

What you will do

• Produce clean, scalable, and reusable code for an API-driven product.
• Contribute to architecture and take ownership of product parts.
• Develop features and new services from end to end as the product scales.
• Write well-tested, high-performant code using modern AWS serverless and event-driven microservice architecture.
• Ensure successful deployments and implement bug fixes and improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role in a product company.
• Familiarity with server-side programming languages (Python, Java, C#, Ruby, GoLang, JavaScript) with motivation to work with Python/JavaScript.
• Passion for software engineering best practices, delivering well-tested, high-performant, and quality code.
• Keen interest in mastering the craft and growing within a high-performing software engineering team.
• Genuine interest in keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
• Must be able to work 1-2 days a week from the London Office.
