Site Reliability Engineer (Azure/AWS)

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud/Azure/AWS): Ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of technology platforms across cloud and on-prem environments with an accent on automation, observability, and incident response. Focus on designing and implementing strategies for high availability, developing CI/CD pipelines, and proactive issue resolution.

Location: This position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly. Must be based in the USA.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Design and implement strategies to maintain high availability and performance of critical systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated recovery processes.
• Act as an escalation point for major incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and drive postmortem improvements, including on-call rotation.
• Implement advanced monitoring, alerting, and telemetry solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Forecast and manage infrastructure capacity to support growth and performance targets.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Application Support, and Service Operations teams to reach reliability goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates).
• Deep understanding of networking, DNS, and security principles.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Strong Linux administration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes CKA, or similar.
