Staff Software / Site Reliability Engineer (Fedramp): Responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of hirify.global cloud products in private cloud environments, with an accent on automating deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems. Focus on troubleshooting complex technical problems, resolving data/configuration issues, and driving standardization efforts across multiple disciplines.

Location: Hybrid: Ability to commute to our Columbia, MD/Northern VA office or Boston, MA office; or Remote: Currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. U.S citizen required

Salary: $163,000 - $217,666.67 USD

What you will do

• Ensure the reliability and high availability of hirify.global cloud products in private cloud environments.
• Respond to support escalations, troubleshooting complex technical problems and resolving data/configuration issues.
• Develop software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to understand new cloud technologies and propose solutions to business problems.
• Drive standardization efforts across multiple disciplines and services.
• Remediate infrastructure and container security vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• U.S citizen required
• 6+ years of related SRE experience.
• Apply core software engineering fundamentals to solve complex reliability and scalability challenges.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies.
• 2+ year experience with platform development in compliance with FedRAMP requirements.
• 3+ years deploying public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) including administering managed AWS services (EKS, OpenSearch, MSK, Batch, etc.).
• Strong background in bash scripting and experience in higher-level scripting languages like Python or Node.js.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying distributed, microservice oriented applications.
• Experience with distributed monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, OTEL, etc.
• Experience with datastore technologies: Kafka, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Helm.
• Experience with Go, Java/Kotlin, and/or Groovy.
