Location: Onsite in Bellevue, Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Seattle, USA (4+ days per week in office required).

Salary: $195,000–$343,000 annually (base salary, eligible for RSUs).

What you will do

  • Manage and mentor a team of 8+ backend engineers.
  • Set strategy, build roadmaps, and define measurable goals for the team.
  • Lead large, complex technical initiatives related to notification platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering teams.
  • Balance near, medium, and long-term objectives to achieve business goals.
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs and provide strong technical mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience.
  • 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience (or 7+ years with Master's, 4+ years with PhD).
  • 1+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
  • Background in building high-availability and mission-critical systems.
  • Proven ability to lead an engineering team and execute complex initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to have

  • Experience with push notifications, telephony, and email systems.
  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience building and maintaining mission-critical global systems.
