What you will do

• Implement technical security requirements and manage infrastructure governance.
• Analyze organizational roles to create and enforce access policies.
• Provide third-line technical support and resolve security incidents.
• Assess infrastructure vulnerabilities and optimize network performance.
• Document processes in Wiki and manage workload via Jira.
• Train staff and foster a strong security awareness culture.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Birmingham or Ipswich
• Strong proficiency in networking principles including IP, TCP/UDP, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
• Experience with firewalls and network services like DNS, NTP, TACACS, and RADIUS.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and security tooling.
• Programming proficiency in Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience supporting or leading audits such as SOC2 or ISO27001.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in an ISP environment.
• Experience with continuous application deployments across VMs, routers, and switches.
