Program Manager, Responsible Scaling Policy (AI): Helping to grow capacity and improve hirify.global’s Responsible Scaling Policy by maintaining forward-looking plans for risk mitigation and conducting ongoing assessments of AI systems’ capabilities and safeguards. Focus on building relationships with internal experts, driving conversations on ambitious risk mitigation plans, and advising on relevant regulations.

Location: Hybrid role, requiring at least 25% office attendance in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $190,000 - $285,000 USD

What you will do

  • Build relationships with internal experts across Safeguards, Security, and Alignment teams.
  • Analyze relevant risks and gather information from across the company.
  • Drive conversations to develop ambitious plans for risk mitigations.
  • Collaborate with the Policy team on regulation relevant to Responsible Scaling Policies.
  • Identify promising risk mitigations for further development and industry export.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of major catastrophic risks potentially posed by advanced AI.
  • Passion for reducing AI harms and alignment with hirify.global's safety mission.
  • Pragmatic problem-solver comfortable balancing risk reduction with AI development.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and proactively driving initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
