TL;DR

Junior to mid-level Software Engineer (Web/Fintech): Designing and developing scalable web applications for the Financial Services industry with an accent on new product features, code quality, and automated testing. Focus on agile development, customer requirements analysis, and extending hirify.global's core banking software.

Location: Hybrid working in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

What you will do

Drive the design of new product features and functionality, ensuring high quality via code review and automated testing.
Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Software Architects, and fellow Developers in an Agile environment.
Analyse and implement customer requirements, customising software to fit client needs and extending hirify.global's standard product configuration.
Provide technical support for customer projects and maintain existing functionality.
Provide support to other development teams and work on interdisciplinary innovation projects.

Requirements

Proven track record of building web applications based on Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Knowledge or experience using Java and Spring Boot.
An open-minded approach and team-oriented mindset.
Proficient communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Readiness to learn and take on new challenges.
English: B2 required.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge and applicable experience in public multi-tenant cloud hosted services (e.g., authentication, scaling mechanisms).
Knowledge or experience of Oracle and/or PL/SQL.
