Software Development Engineer I

TL;DR

Software Development Engineer I (Fullstack): Developing new placements for video ads and creating AI functionality for video creation and manipulation for hirify.global's e-commerce platforms. Focus on improving customers’ and partners’ experiences through fault-tolerant and scalable services.

Location: Must be willing to relocate to the city of job location if outside commuting distance

What you will do

• Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements capturing, functional and technical design, development, testing and roll-out, and support.
• Design, develop, document, and thoroughly test your code.
• Own software components and build automation and reporting tools to provide capabilities around the components you own and participate in solving production issues.
• Expand your skills in developing high quality, distributed, and scalable software.
• Drive technical implementation at the application or product level for small projects.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelors or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math) or equivalent related professional experience.
• Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience.
• Must be willing to relocate to the city of job location if outside commuting distance.

Nice to have

• Helpful to have moderate proficiency in any of: JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Java, Spring MVC, JSON/XML.
• Helpful to have working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (scrum, XP).
• Helpful to have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structure, algorithms, and system-level programming (including multi-threaded programming).
• Helpful to have experience testing, automating, and instrumenting code.
• Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners.
