What you will do
- Develop and maintain applications, implementing new features to enhance digital presence and customer engagement.
- Set the technical direction for a front-end-leaning squad, championing LBG standards (TypeScript/React on Node LTS).
- Break down complex problems and mentor engineers.
- Uphold high quality with automated testing (Jest/Playwright/MSW) and robust CI/CD (e.g., Harness).
- Collaborate closely with Product, QE, DevOps, and back-end colleagues.
- Embed resilience, security, and operability from the start and own production health when needed.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and working experience of Engineering tools including React, Angular, TypeScript, and Node.
- Back-end experience with Java and SpringBoot.
- Oracle and PL/SQL Database know-how.
- Experience with Testing Frameworks like Jest and Playwright.
- Comfortable with automation and able to lead technical teams, mentor others, and make key technical decisions.
- Hybrid working with a minimum 40% office attendance in Edinburgh.
Nice to have
- Experience with GCP.
- Exposure to Container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Full-Stack experience.
