Finance Business Partner (Fintech)

Finance Business Partner (Fintech): Reporting the financial planning process for important products and teams; including building/maintaining and reviewing operating and financial models with an accent on strategic decisions, including projects on pricing design, customer behavior analysis and economics, LTV / Return on investment of marketing efforts. Focus on increasing the size and efficiency of our acquisition motions.

What you will do

• Report the financial planning process for important products and teams, including building/maintaining and reviewing operating and financial models.
• Be the primary Finance Business Partner (FBP) with key teams within our Square organization and collaborate across all levels and departments.
• Support strategic decisions, including projects on pricing design, customer behavior analysis and economics, and LTV / Return on investment of marketing efforts.
• Create and/or review analyses that facilitates clear decision-making, mine data from our databases to predict short-term and long-term trends.
• Evaluate our performance; report the performance; identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data.
• Partner with departments (e.g. Accounting, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Sales and Marketing, and others) to report on the financial impact of decisions across the company.

Requirements

• 8+ years post qualified and relevant industry experience
• A finance qualification or relevant working experience within strategy finance
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to lead strategic projects and make data-driven recommendations
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Strong financial background; deep expertise in financial modelling and analysis and Excel
