TL;DR

Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin/Go): Developing and improving web-based clients and RESTful web services for an internal communications platform with an accent on high-quality and tested code. Focus on working iteratively, ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines, and automating development processes.

Location: Hybrid work available with offices in Dresden, Prague, Berlin, Chemnitz, and Leipzig.

What you will do

  • Improve and develop both web-based clients (including native apps) and RESTful web services.
  • Work in a cross-functional Scrum team, producing high-quality and tested code.
  • Give and receive valuable feedback in code reviews, continuously learning and sharing knowledge.
  • Take ownership of topics ranging from features produced to quality of work and the environment.
  • Work iteratively, frequently pushing code, ensuring good CI/CD pipelines, and automating where possible.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working as a Backend Engineer.
  • Must have experience in Java/Kotlin.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of REST and Microservices architectures.
  • Passion for Test Driven Development, quality, and clean code.
  • Good English communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with MongoDB, Terraform, and Docker.
