What you will do
- Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Define and manage processes for monitoring data governance policies, metadata, and data lineage.
- Establish data ownership and stewardship models with clear roles and responsibilities across the organisation.
- Oversee data stewardship activities to maintain high data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units to ensure buy-in and sponsorship of data governance initiatives.
- Mentor and coach a team of data professionals and contribute to shaping the data transformation program.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading data governance programs and implementations.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA), applications, processes, and principles.
- Knowledge of data models, lineage, and enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to document and visualise data flow from source to consumption.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders on data governance topics.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid format, 3 days in office, from London, Birmingham, Bristol, or Manchester, United Kingdom.
