Data Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Autonomous Driving/AI): Developing strategy and architecture for large-scale data collection, ingestion, and processing platforms to build an autonomous driving solution with an accent on designing and implementing solutions for dense robotics data and developing a Data Mesh. Focus on collaborating with ML, MLOps, and Perception teams to build a state-of-the-art safe autonomous driving system.

What you will do

• Develop strategies and architecture for data collection, processing, and leveraging.
• Design and implement scalable solutions for dense robotics data (raw sensor data, signals).
• Develop a Data Mesh platform to enable Machine Learning, Validation, and Systems Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with ML, MLOps, Perception, and other teams to build a safe autonomous driving system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics.
• Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must be present at the office in Gothenburg regularly for this hybrid role.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Go or C++ programming languages.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in building and operating distributed and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of database and experience working with multiple data-models (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore).
• Experience in collecting and processing large volumes of sensor data.
• Understanding of machine learning training process.
