TL;DR

FP&A Analyst (Fintech): Responsible for building and improving financial and commercial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and performing variance analysis. Focus on turning data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and managing workload under high pressure deadlines.

Location: At least 1 day/week in the office (Cambridge HQ), able to travel to & from the office safely in a day.

Salary range is £45k-£50k, depending on experience.

What you will do

  • Build and improve financial and commercial models.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance and conduct root cause variance analyses versus budget and previous periods.
  • Interpret data, order and assess its value, presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Turn data into clear, actionable insight for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with initiative to manage own workload.
  • Commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management.
  • Strong modelling and financial analysis skills.
  • Able to effectively use both written and verbal communications to explain complex financial issues to non-finance audiences.
  • Competent in working under high pressure deadlines.
  • Able to balance detail with clarity by simplifying complex models without losing accuracy.

Nice to have

  • Completed or significant continuous progress in relevant financial or accounting qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA, CIMA etc.).
  • Previous experience of forecasting, reporting and analysis of costs in a multi-currency environment.
  • Experience of Oracle NetSuite, NSPB, Power BI and Salesforce.
