Location: This role is available to candidates across the UK, with preference in London. Hybrid work environment is applied for local hirify.globalns in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, and Sydney, with an expectation to be in office min. twice per week.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the triad (Designer + Product + Development manager) to understand business challenges, identify opportunities, and craft team roadmaps.
• Build robust APIs and services for automating complex legal tasks, ensuring traceability and security, using distributed computed orchestration solutions (e.g., Temporal).
• Develop backend components supporting real-time collaboration between users and AI agents.
• Provide feedback on code reviews and architecture documents to guide team members in technical decision-making.
• Actively contribute to projects through extensive code reviews or shipping code.
• Conduct 1:1 meetings to support direct reports' career growth and development goals.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large-scale SaaS products.
• Strong background in hands-on software development in Python.
• Ability to help teams solve complex technical problems with a diverse knowledge base.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain engineering talent in a fast-paced job market.
• English: B2+ required.
