What you will do

• Work cross-functionally to design, develop, and maintain cloud services for Data Platform.
• Promote clear and simple software design while driving the team toward better practices.
• Support a true DevOps / CICD software delivery model.
• Promote high quality aimed at security, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
• Drive innovation by contributing new ideas for processes, tools, and technologies.
• Coach and mentor mid-level and junior staff.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise-level, backend systems.
• Experience developing in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience working with cloud-native workloads, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Aurora).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), Git, and working in an Agile team.

Nice to have

• Experience with data transfer and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, NiFi, Kinesis.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Clickhouse.
• Experience with data file formats like Parquet, Avro, and Iceberg.
• Understanding of SQL scripting and procedures with relational databases.
• History of open-source contributions.
