Senior Data Analytics Engineer: Enabling GIA Data Analysts and Audit Teams to deliver efficient data-driven audit testing through curated datasets and self-serve applications with an accent on identifying, integrating, and operationalising new data sources and developing scheduled data preparation routines. Focus on maintaining data analytics library and AWS platform, managing vulnerabilities, patching, and data/code backups.

Location: Hybrid role in Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Identify, integrate, and operationalise new data sources into the GIA Data Analytics environment.
• Develop scheduled data preparation routines to transform raw inputs into curated datasets.
• Maintain an organised data analytics library, including field definitions and data limitations.
• Maintain the GIA Data Analytics AWS platform, managing vulnerabilities, patching, and data/code backups.
• Mentor Data Analysts and Internal Audit teams on the use of available data.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Fluent English (C1 equivalent).
• Expertise in data processing, automation, and analytics using Python (Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, ETL workflows).
• Experience with AWS or Azure equivalents (Terraform, S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Athena, IAM, CloudShell).
• Experience connecting to diverse data sources through APIs and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of internal audit workflows, risk assessment, and control testing models.
