What you will do

• Support database environments for Energy Services, including Distribution, Transmission, and Nuclear business areas.
• Perform SQLServer and Oracle Database Administration, including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and business continuity.
• Work cross-organizationally to drive adoption of standard tools and improve data integrity.
• Ensure IT solutions have sound data management practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise and consultation on data aspects of new and/or changing IT solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
• Strong Relationship Management and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, data governance acumen, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated experience with distributed computing, data visualization, data architecture, statistical modeling, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with machine learning.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering reporting solutions and providing business insight.

Nice to have

• Strong technical knowledge of SQLServer database administration for SQLServer 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.
• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle database administration for 12c, 19c and 21c.
• Experience with SQLServer Integration Services (SSIS) package development and implementation, reporting services.
• Experience with Database replication technologies like mirroring, log shipping, and replication.
• Experience with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), RAC and Data Guard technology.
• Experience with Oracle and SQLServer Major Version upgrades.
• Experience with T-SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience with Windows/SQLServer Clustering and AlwaysOn Failover Cluster.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL and MySQL Databases.
