What you will do

• Design and scale hirify.global’s core database infrastructure.
• Be a subject matter expert on MySQL and database administration.
• Develop and maintain tooling for operating database systems and self-service for developers.
• Write technical documentation and advocate for system health.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Design plans for disaster recovery and system failovers.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline, with proven experience maintaining and delivering production software.
• 3+ years experience using monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, or VividCortex.
• 5+ years experience building, deploying, and maintaining databases at scale (MySQL, PostgreSQL) in Linux environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
